Bioprospecting for Anti-COVID-19 Interventions From African Medicinal Plants: A Review

The emergence of the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) that emanated from Wuhan in China 2019 has become a global concern. current situation warrants ethnomedicinal drug discovery and development for delivery phytomedicines with potential treatment COVID-19. aim this review is to provide detailed evaluation available information on plant species used African traditional medicines antiviral, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, COVID-19 symptoms relieving effects. Literature scientific databases such as Scopus, PubMed, Google scholar, Journals OnLine (AJOL), Science Direct, Web were review.
